That said, while women and gays are typically better for fashion advice, us heteros know what we like. I may lack fashion sense, but I can tell you what I find sexy and what I do not give a shit about.

LESSON #1: Ditch the high heels! Real men HATE elevated footwear, be it pumps, platforms, heels. High heels are one of the stupidest inventions in human history! What is the point? They look painful and uncomfortable, they look ridiculous. Yeah, they make you look taller but what guy wants that? Within a given ethnic group, the difference between average male and female heights is about as great as the typical high heel or platform height. That means that roughly half the women are taller than men where the women are in heels. I am slightly taller than average for a guy, but last time I was at the bar, nearly half the women were about my height or taller. Most men expect to be taller than most women by a comfortable margin. For some of us, the female sex is intimidating enough at several inches shorter, imagine the unease felt when most of the women tower over us. And that’s supposed to be appealing?

You say that flats are not appropriate for clubbing. Says who, and more importantly, WHY? I do not see why chicks can’t look good in flats. I sure do not want to see broads towering over everyone like giraffes. High heels are tacky and ugly. They make women hobble about in a clumsy fashion and make annoying hoof noises. There is nothing sexy about a girl of otherwise average height elevated to over 6′ and clumsily galloping about or complaining about how much her feet hurt.

As for points 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, and 10; granted!

As for point 3, sexy is not necessarily slutty and vice versa. (Though obviously men and women differ on their extent of agreement with that statement.) I am aware that there is more to it than wearing less. However, you recommend high heels, which are extremely slutty, and extremely unsexy. There may be a correlation between being scantily clad and being sexy/slutty, but high heels are one of the exceptions that manage to be slutty without being sexy. After all, many guys, myself included, tend to associate heels/platforms with strippers, porn actresses, and prostitutes; or with drag queens and trannies. Isn’t that the exact opposite of what you ladies want? So on that note, I think the irony is lost on you.

Regarding point 5, remember that MOST guys (a) know dick about fashion and (b) do not care too much about how stylish you may be. So on that note, I am probably behind on the latest fashions. However, I do not get why so many girls think it’s fashionable to sport those ridiculous bob haircuts. Wearing last year’s style is one thing, wearing a style from last century is an entirely different matter! Bob cuts are not attractive and they are the haircut of the 20th century. It is now the 21st, let the bob die!

As to point 8, I have noticed that many of the same women in clubs/bars who LOOK great smell awful, usually worse than the guys! For all the guidos who wear way too much cologne, at least it’s better to err on that side of caution. Many girls think they are so hot that if they dress up and merely look clean and well put together, it does not matter if they smell like a combination of sweat and stale seafood. This is something I notice because in nightclubs, and most bars nowadays, the music is too loud so you have to put your lips on other peoples’ ears just to be understood. (Which is why I hate most bars and clubs.)
